I'm only guessing, but the University of New England has a big history section and should have all the old newspapers there. Also, perhaps the State Library in Sydney or SAG (Society of Australian Genealogists) in Kent Street Sydney. These are only suggestions, I don't live anywhere near any of these places, just going on past information received. Lynette Begg P.O. He was poundkeeper at Uralla, when Thunderbolt was shot. He brought Thunderbolt's body into Uralla on a spring cart. He also gave an epitah at the funeral. I know he was featured in the Armidale express newspaper in the 1970's. Does anyone know where I could access this information, or obtain a copy? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. The focus of your newspaper search should perhaps be late May 1970 which would be the 100 year centenary of Thunderbolt's death. I also suggest you google dwyer thunderbolt bushranger which will give you some additional material. Clare
