    3. I have queries regarding Strathbogie Station:- a] Where exactly was Strathbogie Station? b] Is there a history of the station listing owners and workers? c] There used to be a graveyard there which had disappeared by ca.1995. Would anyone have a list of the names buried there? I am trying to find the death of John MCCARTHY who emigrated from C. Cork in 1838 aboard the Calcutta with his wife and 3 children. We know that he went to work as a shepherd on Strathbogie station and then he disappears. The McCarthy's still had some sort of relationship with Strathbogie up until the 1890's -early 1900's [I think]. I would be very grateful for any advice/help. Cheers Joy [nee McCarthy]

    3. Hello Joy There is a place named Strathbogie near Emmaville. Have a look at the following site for detailed parish maps of old. Type in the search box 'Strathbogie' for both Parish and Pastoral searches: http://www.lands.nsw.gov.au/OnlineServices/ParishMaps/default.htm Do you have more details on John McCarthy please as there are a number of McCarthy's listed in the Glen Innes Cemetery Book.
