My mother was born in Armidale in 1928 - Yvonne Cross I have just been loooking over some notes we made of her early life there until 1940. Her best friend was - Corinne ?? she would love to meet her again. They also had a lot to do with the Hanna children, a local family involved in shop keeping. They lived near Nurse Austen in Markham St. Does anyone have any info on Nurse Austen or Nurse Dearing who were the local midwife's of the time. My grandfather was friends with Silas Burton. Does anyone know of these people, or have any further information that they could add to this? Many thanks, Jo
