Dear List, Looking for any descendants and researchers of the family of Edward FALLON, who married Margaret Maher, 1855 Muswellbrook. Two of their sons, John and Thomas, marry into my main family of interest. John Fallon married Margaret Gallagher on 2 September 1880 in Tamworth. John Fallon was the son of Edward Fallon and Margaret Maher and was born in 1856 at Patricks Plains. John was also the brother of Thomas Fallon who married Julie's niece, Margaret Fogarty. John Fallon died in 1912 at Tamworth and it is believed that Margaret died in 1908 in Tamworth. Any help would be appreciated Carol Dale
Hi Carol I went through our Joseph Wright data base, well over 5,000 names so far. While there are plenty of Maher's listed with our Wright ancestors, your Margaret is not listed, so it may be reasonable to assume she is not connected to us.. Our Joseph Wright was a first fleeter convict, arriving in Port Jackson in 1788 on the "Scarborough". His daughter Sarah Wright born in colon, married Robert Hobbs Jnr also born in colony, son of Robert Hobbs convict who arrived in Port Jackson with the Third Fleet on the Active in 1791. Hence our Wright/Hobbs and Maher connection.
