Hi Everyone My ancestor John McCarthy arrived in Australia in 1838 on ship Calcutta with wife Ellen and three children - Edward, Ellen & Eliza. He went to work as a shepherd on Strathbogie Station and that is the last I've heard of him. I have no idea when he died or what happened to his wife & daughters. I have traced Edward but that hasn't helped. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is anyone able to help me? Regards Joy - Wagga
