Hi everyone, I am interested in any information on a John Shepherd and his wife Sarah Courtenay. They had a child Sarah in 1849 in Armidale. John is listed on her baptism certificate as a superintendant. (9 Feb 850) Their abode was Kangarro Hills (which i think now is Wongabinda) and the family thinks he had a landholding at tilbuster. The family thinks John was drowned in a creek but although there is difficulty in finding any death certificate at this stage, I am not sure of this. Cheers! Caroline Chapman
