Hello to the New England List! I am looking for descendants of Alfred and Mary Cecilia Lawler Butler, nee White, who married in Tamworth in 1890. Alfred was born in London and Mary in Ireland. Alfred owned a boot store in Peel Street which he continued to operate until shortly before his death in 1946. His obituary in the Northern Daily Leader mentions three sons (one of who was my grandfather) who had moved away from the district, and two daughters who still resided in Tamworth - a Mrs Roy King of Carthage Street and a Mrs E Hoban of 178 Marius Street. I am particularly looking for information about when and how Alfred Butler and Mary White immigrated to Australia, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any information about this couple or their descendants.
