I seek Headstone information for a Rebecca or Rebekah Cugley Buried Duck Creek (not sure which one) but the service conducted at Parish of St John, Parramatta Date 20/11/1854 I have a burial certificate saying her abode was Duck Creek, her immigration papers said she accompanied Husband John Cugley to a property near Armidale, to meet up with his brother. I understand there are a couple of Duck Creeks in the area but the service performed in Parramatta throws a spanner in the works. Yet another spanner is a birth registered in December for a John Cugley and Catherine, appears he did not waste time, this is also recorded in Parramatta but this time Parish of St James. Abode is listed as Parramatta Street. John & Rebecca Cugley are the parents of my Great Grandmother, Rebecca Cugley, who appears to have remained in the Armidale to Moree area. She was supposed to have married my GGF in Gunnedah in 1877 but no record either. I can find no further detail re John Cugley although his brother drifted to Victoria. Thus if anyone has anything to add eg a headstone it would be appreciated. This family has been a mystery in including on all children of a married having the mother's maiden name incorrect and on the mother's death certificate having a totally incorrect husband.
