James Joseph Charlton died 9/6/1926 There was some controversy on his death probate on the will was contested by a wife and child although non recorded on NSW BDM and then neither was his first marriage to a Rebecca Culley in Gunnedah 18/3/1877. Probably the gravestone may provide an answer or 2, maybe the "wife" buried beside him. Maybe someone has the story. All I have is family rumours. Grandma so hated her father she never referred to by name other than JJ, on her mother death certificate she put his correct name as husband.
