Joy, no hope from me... I'm in Arizona, but i'd like to piggy-back on your request. For the last 5 years "i've been planning a trip down to visit Armidale, and the UNE archives" and I wonder if these - or at least part of them - are now online search-able? I'm wondering if anyone can assist me with the following. I am trying to find the death of James RAMAGE b 1814 in Scotland, arrived in Australia on board the St Helena in 1854. James' wife Christian was buried at Ollera cemetery in 1883 on her death cert it states her occupation as labourer's wife, from that I'm assuming that he was still alive. I've checked the NSW BDM & the IGI, however there is no record for his death. TIA Lynne Central Coast, NSW Australia

Hello Listers, I am researching my GG grandparents John & Mary Doyle. They lived in the Glen Innes and Wellingrove area from 1844 onwards. John Doyle b1817 in Galway Ireland. He came to Australia in 1840 on board the EARL GREY. married Mary in Parramatta in 1844 and he died in Sept 1813.Glen Innes. Mary Ann Braley/Brieley/Braybey/Brayley. As you can see I am having fun chasing down who Mary was. I believe she was b 1825 Manchester England. According to her d/c she had come to Australia in 1844. Her d/c states she married John Doyle in Parramatta 1844. I cannot find any record of this marriage. She died in 1899 in Glen Innes Hospital. John and Mary had 9 children = John 1850, Thomas 1852 Annie 1854, Francis 1857, William & Samuel 1859, Robert 1862, Frederick 1864, and Henry 1868 Their son Francis was my G Grandfather. I would like to hear from any lister who may also be researching the Doyles or anyone who may have know of this family. Many Regards John Rice Hervey Bay Qld
