HI I am based in the UK but researching my family history in NZ and Australia. This is a simple question but I am new to genealogy in Australia. I have a person who was a farmer in 1873 according to a death certificate. Apart from electoral rolls, are there any other ways I can locate/follow him and his family from 1849 until 1873? The only two firm records I have of them in Australia at this point. Thank you for any suggestions.
