I would appreciate the following assistance if possible. Is it possible to check whether a "Storekeeper" names *Thomas Gallagher* operated his business in Morpeth c1913 (ref. Sands Directory)? and if the shop still exists in some form, I would love to know where and a bit of background history of its position. On his death cert. June 1951 aged 83 he was still noted as a Storekeeper. His wife *Hannah Marie* evidently was quite a business women, she died 1950. This Thomas G was son of Maurice/Catherine born 1868 Swan Reach Hinton, farmer. Thanks in anticipation Joan
Hello Joan, Will Maitland City Council have the records you require? Have you also seen the Grevilles postal index of 1872? It has: Gallagher, John and Maurice - farmers on the Eales' Estate, Morpeth.
