Dear Listers, Thank you so much to those who responded, both on-list and directly, with feedback to my recent 7-part series on my WFG Story. Further to that, some of you might have connections with the Hunter Valley families that some of the offspring of WFG and Anne finished up being. Sarah Ann married Henry Adam ARCHINAL at Rix's Creek on 24 May 1893 and they settled in Singleton. Henry was a policeman there. They had a son and 3 daughters. The first born, William Henry ARCHINAL moved to Brisbane and drove locomotives. Ellen (Nell) died of TB when only 18. Elsie Jane ARCHINAL married Jim JOLIFFE and they lived their lives at Gresford. Lilian Esther ARCHINAL married Bert COOPER and they lived at Five Dock in Sydney. Ellen (Nell) GOODHEW married John Edward Augustus HEWSTON on 1 Apr 1896 at Singleton Wesleyan. Sadly Nell died when only 33 and John remarried, but I know not to whom. He worked on the railway in the Hunter, mainly as a guard and he died at Tamworth in 1939. John and Nell had three girls. Florence May (Flo) married Albert FARLOW and had five children. When Albert died aged 39, Flo married Jack COSS. She lived to the ripe age of 97, mostly residing in north-west NSW at Inverell, Moree and surrounding places. Amy Eileen HEWSTON married Charles Leslie (Paddy) CUELL in 1916. They had twelve children and lived in Narribri. Her young sister, Nellie, married Walter George ROONEY, having six children and the family also lived at Narribri. I would be glad to hear from anybody connected with any of the above families. Happy researching! Ron Goodhew, Adamstown. My surnames are: GOODHEW, CARROLL, TEASDALE, PHIPPEN, VINCENT, BAILEY, WAKELING, DAVEY, LUXFORD, PAYNE, BOYD, MORGAN, WRIGHT, SPEAR, RAMSTER, ARCHINAL, JOLIFFE, HEWSTON, HODGINS to mention just a few.
