Two of my family moved to Australia in 1907, Charles Stanley ALLBROOK and his wife Ellen Louisa What I have established but been unable to prove is that they had 3 children Charles Stanley ALLBROOK about 1910 Emma Jane ALLBROOK about 1912 John James ALLBROOK 14 8 1914 who died in England in 1978 The Father, Charles Stanley Allbrook died 30 May 1916 in Charlestown, New South Wales The Mother died in England in July 1963 and a woman sharing the same forenames as her daughter is her Executor. Is there any way that I can prove that they had three children Can I prove that the Charles Stanley ALLBROOK born in about 1910 has died and when and where. One rumour is that he died in WW2 and that he was at Dunkirk but he is not listed by the CWGC I already possess the detail of every UK BMD for Allbrook and main variants between 1837 and 1983 and they do not appear in the UK except where I have mentioned I have tried the NSW State Records but they are bound by confidentiality so I would really appreciate some inspired comment as to how I can find out more Michael Allbrook Cranleigh Surrey England Researching ALLBROOK BARUGH NOKES SCHOFIELD STILLWELL FRITH ROWLANDSON -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Hello Michael, For a start you can get the death certificate of Charles Stanley ALLBROOK snr who died in 1916, registration no. 7428, Charlestown, NSW. As well as the usual details of date, place, cause of death, marriage, etc. this should also list the number of children of his marriage to Ellen Louisa. The names of all living children and their ages at that date of death, as well as the number of any children no longer living, will be given. Information on how to order the certificate and the price (A$25) can be found at the NSW registry's web site: www.bdm.nsw.gov.au. Follow the Family History links which will also lead you to transcription agents who will provide a transcribed copy at a lower price and offering a choice of the whole certificate or a partial transcription on a sliding scale of costs, should you prefer that option.. At first look I can find no other deaths for that family in the NSW indexes, and the only birth I can find is for John J in 1914 at Stockton, registration no.30875, which you appear to have already. Thought I'd just pass that much on to get you started.
