    3. Dear Tracie, Just checking NSW BD&M records the Agnes Singleton born in 1895 at Gunnedah was Agnes R. not Agnes K.; daughter of Benjamin SINGLETON (1848-1934) & Eliza Agnes SMYRK ( married 1879 in Mudgee). She is the only Agnes Singleton birth recorded from 1800-1905. Her father Benjamin was the son of William Singleton (1805-1883) & Matilda Thomas.William was the brother of Benjamin Singleton (1788-1853) who explored with John Howe. This Benjamin's son, also Benjamin (1817-1889) was married to Eliza Campbell HORNE who died in 1862; Benjamin remarried Ann SULLIVAN in 1868 & altogether had 14 children with the 2 wives; none of whom was named Agnes Kathleen or Kathleen Agnes. I only have 2 Agnes in my records, both of whom married Singletons (My G. G. Grandmother also married into the family); in her obituary does it say if she was a wife, widow or Spinster? I would be interested if you could send a copy of the obituary to me. Sorry not to be able to solve your problem at this time; keep at it!! Regards, Ian Wright.
