Hello All, This Saturday, 16 Sep, the Lake Macquarie Family History Group will be holding and Open Day for research 10.30am - 4.00pm at Marmong Point Community Hall, George St, Marmong Point. At 1.30pm the Mayor of Lake Macquarie shall be launching our new publication, PIONEERS & SETTLERS of LAKE MACQUARIE, followed by a presentaion to our Members of Parliment to receive copies for Legal Deposit. This book has been printed to co-incide with the Centenary of the Proclamation of the Shire of Lake Macquarie in 1906. It contains a register of families connected to Lake Macquarie over a period of 150 years and includes many photographs, family stories and newspaper articles. The surnames index is approx. 8,500 names. Feel welcome to come along and enjoy the day.
