Searching for information on the above family - parents James and Emily Cobb and brothers James, Albert and Walter. The family lived in Newcastle during the later years of the 19th century, with some remaining in that location and others later moving to Sydney and farther afield. In his day, Walter "Wally" Cobb was a well-known footballer, representing Australia during the 1890s. I have been unable to find birth records for the brothers, whose births would have occurred somewhere around the 1860-70 period, so am assuming James and Emily may have arrived in Australia with a young family. If anyone has connections to the family, or can suggest where I may find basic evidence of where or when the family arrived in NSW, I'd be very pleased. TIA, Maureen.
