Jenny, The Parish of Houghton still exists & is part of the County of Durham. Houghton is marked on today's topographical maps North West of the town of Paterson.,i.e. West & South of the Paterson River as it extends Northwards from the town.You can view it's position & extent on the NSW Dept of Lands Website (Historical & Parish maps).
