    3. Hi Listers, I am researching my GG granduncle, Richard King b1838 and his wife Camilla Locock b1843. They were married in 1859 at Hexham. I have seen reports in various internet sites that they had 32 children. I have found 21 in the BDM records, the 1st child born in 1860 and the last child born in 1889. I believe they resided in the Cessnock area. Does any other lister have any info re this family ? Many thanks John Rice Hervey Bay Qld

    3. Hi John If you put in the online deaths King Father Richard & mother Cam* will bring some up & Com* check up to 1976. It must of been very hard to have so many but to have a lot of them die as babies even harder. 3. Hi Jennette, Thank you for your email and I will try your suggestion. I agree that it must be sad to have so many die at such a young age. 3. Are you sure they are all theirs????? Seems like a hell of a lot of children. Maybe their son married a woman with the same Christian name as his mother and they had some...............Just a thought. 3. Hi Kaye There was an article in the Cessnock Eagle 28 OCT 1949 about the 32 children but the copy of the article I received is barely readable. One researcher in Rootsweb said that they received a mantle clock from Queen Victoria. 3. Hi John, The death of a Camilla King (daughter of Thomas and Lucy) was reg. at Wollombi, No. 2990 in 1914. Is this the one? Her death cert., or a transcription, should give info on all the children, provided the informant knew of course. HTH Judy. 3. Sometimes, if an unmarried daughter had a child, the baby was registered with parents' names which were actually the names of the baby's grandparents! Look closely at the later births. Is there a cross reference? A birth registration place different from the usual place of abode? 3. Hi John. 32 Children - Streuth. Fair enough not having TV in those days, but surely there must have been some sort of other entertainment to keep those folks out of trouble ! I suggest you try contacting Newcastle Library and also some of the Family Hist. places around the Upper Hunter Region. Good luck in your endeavors. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Rice" <jrice@westnet.com.au> To: <aus-nsw-hunter-valley@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 25, 2007 2:16 AM Subject: [HV] 32 CHILDREN
