Hi Carolyn, Thank you for the time and effort you put into preparing the list of Turners for me,it was helpful. The James Thomas Turner I am looking for died prior to 1872 as his wife remarried to my GG grandfather in 1872 at Rocky River NSW. This would have made her my step GG grandmother. In 1879 James and Jane daughter Susan Jane Turner married her Step-brother Samuel Rice. So therefore the Turners James & Jane became my real GG grandparents I had 4 aspro's working all this out. Hope it helps. Carolyn
I bet you did John. Wow this stuff keeps us on our toes doesn't? Hard to imagine anyone not interested really. The challenges are enormous. I am sure it must be some kind of cure for Alzheimers, although sometimes I wonder about myself. I play Bridge which is supposed to be the bees' knees for Alzheimers AND do Family History with a vengeance and yet sometimes I don't even know what day it is unless I look at the paper or the computer clock. Seriously, it is great and I love it. Good luck with your research. A hint - sometimes if you put a name into Google with either "family" or "origins" after it, you can get a "hit" Have you looked on the LDS site? sometimes people who are researching a particular family will put their info up there together with their contact details. If you need any advise on this, let me know. I use it all the time. Have a look at (for example) http://www.williamsfamilyoz.com/Thomas%20Turner.htm There is a James Turner who died in 1872 at Maitland Father Richard Mother Jane 4846/1872 TURNER JAMES RICHARD JANE MAITLAND These are the marriages for Jane Turner. The 2nd one looks most like to me given the RICE name 3758/1871 LEE WILLIAM TURNER JANE LOUISA WELLINGTON Buy Now 1649/1873 RICE JOHN TURNER JANE ARMIDALE Cheers Carolyn John Rice wrote: > Hi Carolyn, > Thank you for the time and effort you put into preparing the list of Turners > for me,it was helpful.
