When looking for my MEYER ancestors from Kingdom of Hannover, records from c1816-17 through to c1853 are most likely to be found in the National Archives UK at Kew, SRY and not in Germany. During this time it was under British rule and many migrated when it became Prussia. On Augustus MYERS/Meyer Naturalisation he states he shouldn't have to become Naturalised in NSW as he was born under British Rule and the Union Jack and came to the Colony under British Rule and the Union Jack. ??
