Hello List, I'm looking for "St Leonards Pub. Girls School Sept.1889" - (as taken from Grannie's presentation book) Your help would be appreciated. regards dorothy
Dear Dorothy, At State Records "if they Survived" there is a file on each school. Some schools also have other records, such as an Admission Register. See www.records.nsw.gov.au where there is an Archives in Brief on the subjedt. There are two lots of records, one for the building, and one for the pupils. Also it should be in the Sands Directory of Sydney Residents, which will give you a location. The current council area is either Willoughby or North Sydney but be aware of possible boundary changes. I think the boundary maybeChristie Street at St Leonard Railway Station. It is the council area you will have to look under in the Sands Directory. Sincerely, Bill > I'm looking for "St Leonards Pub.
