Thanks for that link Allan. The former society had had a project, copying or indexing the Rate Books from Maitland Council. I have often wondered what happened to that work. Similarly, a wonderful member of the former Historical Society -- many DECADES ago now -- was indexing the headstones etc. in the Campbell's Hill cemetery, and I think that she was obtaining stories of each person as much as she could as well. Again, I wonder what happened to this work. (Yes, I am aware of the CD of the burials there which has been done much more recently; but this was to give potted histories of each person mentioned -- well, as far as was able to be ascertained.)
