Hi Dianna, Sorry abou the mix up, I typed Eliza Brindle (nee Smith), when I meant to type Cecilia Brindle (nee Smith), I had all the names flashing around in my head. So we know that Cecelia Bertha Brindle (nee Smith's) parents are Charles and Eliza Smith and she is buried at Rookwood with Eliza Smith (Green nee Greer). We know that your great grandmother Eliza Greer born Tasmania, married first John Green in 1875. How many children did Eliza have with John Green? Do you know when John Green died? She married Charles Smith in 1891 in Orange NSW. Anyway, I think I may have sorted out Cecilia's parents. Though copies of the certificates I mention below can solve the problem. Here parents maybe Charles and Eliza SMITH (Green nee Greer) and Cecilia is buried with her mother Eliza at Rookwood. Cecilia's birth circa 1882 is missing off the NSW BDM, which can happen sometimes. If she is their daughter then she was born before Charles and Eliza were married. Maybe, Eliza Green (nee Greer) separated from John Green, and Charles could not marry Eliza until either she was divorced from John Green or he died. I believe you will have all the answers to these questions if you apply for a copy of Cecilia Bertha Brindle's death certificate or her marriage certificate. Full details about her parents should be included on the certificate. Or the death certificate of you great grandmother Eliza Smith should list her children, though Cecilia most likely may not be named and be included as "female not living". Hope this helps.
