Dear Bill Thank you for your reply. This is how the newspaper article started off: "William HARRIS was indicted for feloniously assaulting Brian CROSBY at Croppy Creek, on the 18th June, 1849" The article is very long and gives very detailed descriptions of all the witness statements etc. No clue as to whether or not Catherine went back to Croppy Creek. Do you know if NSW State Records are available online?
