Hi listers There is a reference on a rootsweb page which gives a source of "Who Was Who in America" for details of Henry Eckford's father but I don't believe the source has been quoted correctly. Does anyone have a contact who has access to that book (I don't know which volume/year). Name: John Eckford Sex: M Marriage Janet E. Black Children . 3. Hello Tim. If you google for "who was who in america" (USING the inverted commas), you will receive lots of hits; many by the publishing company of that publication. Here is a link to the wikipedia entry for that company, which was my first hit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquis_Who%27s_Who It would appear that they have been publishing lots of hard-copy Who's Who titles for a while now, including Who WAS who. Another of the hits was from the publishing company, advertising that they now have an online service, but it means paying a subscription to access it, and my guess is that it will not be cheap to do so. 3. Hi Listers We have just transcribed with permission from NLA, the Journal of J.H.Bent on the convict ship Broxbornebury in 1814. Bent was the first Supreme Court Judge in Australia. It tells of the journey and life on the ship on its way to Australia. It is 100 pages printed on A4. My wife's ggggrandfather George Williams was also on this ship with his wife, Mary and son Vincent George Williams and Vincent's half brothers Edward and Frederick Hunt. Anyone interested can they contact me on my email address Regards Wal
