Hi Listers In the course of research, I have come upon a family who resided in "Durham Street, West Maitland". Being from Maitland many years ago now, I could not recall a street of that name, and so I have checked on the map to see just where this is but nothing seems to show up. Is there someone out there who is a bit of a local History buff who just might know please? I know there have been many streets that have experienced name changes over a century or so, and maybe this is what has happened here, but at the moment all I can seem to find out is that it was in the vicinity or not that far from the "Rose and Crown Inn", but of course I have no idea where that even was either. Oh, I nearly forgot to add that the time frame I am looking roughly at is in the 1850s to the 1890s incase that has any bearing on the query.
