    3. Thanks to Bill and Marg for replying. There are several of us researching this branch and Sarah was one of our 'brickwalls' until she came up in the NSW Coroners Inquest Registers on Ancestry but we could not find her death reg. It seems her firstname had been transcribed as 'Susan'. The Marriage and Death transcriptions were obtained and everything matched. The NSW Coroners Inquest Register matched the details of Susan BRADSHAW who died in 1894. Before we found out who her parents I went on the internet to see if there was any info about the family and came across a few websites with the information that Sarah MANTLE had married Charles DILLON in 1877 but they all seemed to obtain their information from the one contact. If they had only obtained a transcription of the marriage reg instead of believing what came up on the NSW BDM. The Marriage and Death transcriptions definitely prove that Sarah MANTLE is the daughter of William MANTLE and Charlotte NEWTON and she died as Sarah BRADSHAW on 8 September 1894 and is buried in Waverley Cemetery. The Sarah MANTLE who married Charles DILLON could very be a cousin as the christian names used in naming her daughter were found in the same MANTLE family tree. 3. Dear Shirlee, Unfortunately unless it was something where a serious charge, like murder, was preferred, no papers for Inquests survived. There will be just a one line entry in the Register and the finding of the Coroner should be included in the Death Registration you have, but did not share with us in your past post. The information for registrations is only as good as the informant, giving information, perhaps under stressful circumstances given that an Inquest was required. You may find some information in the Maitland Mercury around the time of the death and Inquest, both in those times fairly close to one another. Extensive indexing has been done of many Hunter papers by Mr & Mrs Gow. Sincerely, Bill > Thanks to Bill and Marg for replying.
