I am looking for the graves of my g-Great grandparents John and Abigail Page they lived in Barraba and Tamworth, I have found the death of Abigail who died in Tamworth in 1860 or any information on the Page, MacDiarmid and Cameron families from Barraba, the last two mentioned were from Lochaber in the Scottish highlands. Dear Ray, Probably the best start would be if there was a newspaper there at that time. If there was one it would probably be at the State Library in Sydney. It is possible that there was a notice in the SMH which you might find on TROVE. SMH for 1860 has not been indexed by the Ryerson Index yet. The Barraba cemetery has been added to http://austcemindex.com/cemetery-inscriptions.php?id=161&page=2 Only one Page is listed. Nina Maud Page 1893 - 1970 Anglican N There is a photograph of the headstone and a search box is on the site. A search for Page shows results at Tamworth and several other cemeteries. It may give you the information you seek. Ray, I have some PAGE family around the Murrurundi and Tamworth area. They are Peter Page and Maria Norris, he arrived on Theresa 1839 and she is a descendant of John Norris and Rachel Eather.
