    1. Re: [HV] Sisters of St Josephs Taree and Lochinvar
    2. Lisa, St Joseph's Lochinvar catered for students from Kindergarten through to 5th Year (leaving certificate) High School It was a girl's boarding school. Some students from the local area attended as day pupils. Boy students only attended in primary school as day pupils. St Joseph's Taree only went to 3rd year high school (Intermediate Certificate) and the students then came to Lochinvar for their Leaving Certificate. This information applied in the 1950's when I was a boarder at Lochinvar from 1950 to 1955. The majority of boarders came from areas where there was not easy access to a High School. There was not the number of High schools nor the transport for school children that exists today. Hope this is of help Kerry On Fri Apr 8 2:11 , lisa mc murray <lisajoy60@hotmail.com> sent: > >Hi >My McLennan daughters of Munni (Dungog) went to one or both of these boarding schools in the 1920's and early 30's.
