What do you mean when you say that you gave the book to a bushranger impersonator? Its always interesting to learn about Captain Thunderbolt, there are so many stories and finding the truth through death certificates would go some of the way toward clearing up the mystery. In case it is of interest to anyone I have a copy of the death certificate of Frederick Ward alias Thunderbolt. At the 1993 Royal Easter Show the Registrar Generals Dept had a stand and were giving away photocopies of this death certificate as a souvenir. The death took place on 25 May 1870 at Kentucky Ponds, district of Armidale. The columns for parents names and marriage and children were all marked "unknown". If anyone would like further information I'd happy to supply it. Regards Kerrie
