    3. Hi listers, I learnt of Mocavo a few days ago from a newsletter email I receive from Eastman's Online Genealogy. Hopefully Australian content will be available in the future. Already US people are complaining that their websites are not included yet (including pages people have generated from particular genealogy software) so looks like it will be popular, although some at this stage are complaining that Google is still better. Mocavo has a link to Suggest a site if you want pages added. If you are interested in what people are saying, see the following 2 Eastman articles: http://tinyurl.com/5vcwfmn http://tinyurl.com/6g62pqr You can also subscribe to Eastman's daily emails on the above pages - they include informative articles on new things in genealogy including websites, software & gadgets useful for family historians. Although it has international content (incl AUS&NZ) it is US based, but I have found it to be useful in keeping up to date with what is happening in the genealogy world. There is an Australian website with similar up-to-date usefulness but as it has a commercial slant to it as well, I'm not sure I can mention it here. Since starting family history years ago I have subscribed to whatever reputable newsletter emails are relevant to my research eg. SAG (has a web tips section), SRNSW "Now & Then", one starting with G which has to remain nameless here as per Rootsweb rules as it is an Australian genealogy shop, etc. I can't tell you how invaluable they have been in addition to good old Google & family history magazines. I don't always have time to read all of them but I do skim them for new links relevant to me. Whenever new links or developments appear on the Rootsweb lists I belong to, I have usually already received them from one of my newsletters. If you want to keep ahead I encourage you to search for the newsletter subscription links on any reputable websites you use. Of course there is usually Facebook, Twitter & RSS feeds now, but I prefer the good old fashioned email - less of a time waster for me personally.
