    3. Hi MargM and listers thank you very much for these; and thanks to the person who replied off-list: I have replied OFF-LIST as well. Have sent copy to you Thought a 50 year age difference unlikely! The numbers have been transposed and she is 28. > He was b in Constantinople ! Thats a rather excotic location ! It will be fun to track that down. Wonder what the connection could be? Can't be many CoE churches in Constantinople. I just checked the LDS Catalog and they have a filming of Parish register transcripts, 1835-1878, Church of England in Turkey, Anglican Chaplaincy (Constantinople). The LDS also have the 1881 Census indexed and cross-referenced and I have found the MORGAN family back in England: there are four children born in Constantinople over an 8 or 9 year period. He is an engineer (according to a 1959 marriage certificate for one of the children and consistent with this Census record) which probably brought him to Newcastle: he is not listed in the 1901 Federal Directory in the lists of engineers, nor in Islington/Tighes Hill. Haven't found their immigration details yet. > Amy Elizabeth was in the rolls to 1943 .......... Copy sent direct > MargM > Hunter Valley List Admin
