    3. Dear Llew, The Ryerson Index has only indexed the Newcastle Herald from Jun 1994, and then there are days missing, months in a couple of years. The index is updated fairly regularly, fortnightly, so always worth looking again. At present there is no Back Indexing taking place of that paper, and anyone who wishes to undertake some back indexing is welcome to contact the Ryerson Index via the main page contact icon. The NSW Probate Index can be helpful to find a death up too 1984, but it is a hard slog, year by year from 1952. Working backwards would probably be better for you, although that may work in reverse too. It may be easier too to check the large cemeteries in the area. Sincerely, Bill > I am seeking information on the marriage or death of William Hodges > LLEWELLYN b. 1897 at Wallsend. I know they have archives.. cause i found them once but cant locate them now.. :o( if he was in the wars have you tried searching the Australian War Memorial site.. he may be on there lists and it may lead to further info. http://www.awm.gov.au another place to check is the NSW Records office (Archives) http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/resources-for/historians/family-historians cheers Jewelly --- On Thu, 10/2/11, kate lucas <kjlresearch@hotmail.com> wrote: From: kate lucas <kjlresearch@hotmail.com> Subject: [HV] Looking for a death Newcastle To: aus-nsw-hunter-valley@rootsweb.com Received: Thursday, 10 February, 2011, 7:08 PM Hello I have checked the NSW death entries but cant find the death for Frank  (Francis) Jones born in Vic 1879 Parents James Jones and Mary Ellen Barton. 3. Hello Grahame, To change font size in tree charts and reports you do so from FORMAT and select the font option. This has to be done with each chart or report. There is no bulk setting. The family group sheet font can't be changed. If you include text items you can generate them in MS Word with any font you want and copy and paste into a blank text item in the Book feature. If you are interested in upgrading, the latest version is FTM 2011. When the program is installed it automatically imports all of the family files on your computer. A local family history society may be able to obtain a copy for you. Program disc alone costs about $60 + postage. HTH, Loe

John died about 1863 in what was possibly an accident, maybe work related. He was about 35 years of age. The number of John Ryans in the Hunter is a little overwhelming - anyone got any ideas?
