    3. Dear Marg and All I don't have any brickwalls in the Hunter Valley, as such, as I know where my g-g-g grandparents and their four daughters came from and when. I know that the four girls married at St James Morpeth. Can I find where they lived in Morpeth from 1849 to 1870? Jane Rodford's death certificate (1870) just says High St and James was a farmer. Did he farm for himself, or work for another ? I am also seeking any descendents of Mary Anne Rodford and Samuel William Dawson who might still live in the Hunter Valley, or indeed, elsewhere. 3. People have suggested that forwarding on emails with out cleaning them up first, can be a way that email addresses get out and around, thru other peoples computors. So take all the other email addresses off before forwarding. Trying to help protect each other may reduce the amount of spam. It makes emails easier to read anyway. smiles Sharon ................................................ > If someone could work it out they would make a fortune Carole > Kaye > www.bananatv.com/familytreechecklist.htm > >> .............................................. > ==== AUS-NSW-Hunter-Valley Mailing List ==== > Have you sent a short ' Thanks' to who ever helped you ? >

    3. Hi Outlook Express is the greatest load of ..... as a mail program that was ever invented. It has more holes in it than and industrial sized colander. Basically, I don't like it. Mozilla Thunderbird is far superior and it is FREE, FREE, FREE!!! And it doesn't cost anything plus it comes with an adaptive mail filter - a filter that "learns" as you mark emails as "Junk". Over a short period (10-14 days) it will get to the stage of stopping 80-90% of the junk and after 3 months its near as you'll get to 100% effective. (Yes, I like and use this one.) Just google the name and you can download it for free. Hope you get on well with your Mozilla Greg Palmer Wollongong, NSW. 3. Would any subscriber have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the church records of the Church of England / Anglican Church of Singleton , for the period 1840-1855. I am endeavouring to establish the exact date of death of James Halliday GLENNIE, the only son of James and Susan GLENNIE of "Dulwich" Glennies Creek / Falbrook, via Singleton. He died 1842-1843 aged 7 years. He was born in April 1836. It appears the death may not have been recorded as it was before notifications were required. The lad is buried on the old "Dulwich" on a hill overlooking the spot where the original homestead stood. It has been "Heritage Listed" an is located about 50-60 meters from the present "Dulwich" homestead. Also does anyone know of the existence of any diaries James snr's brother Henry may have written. Henry was for many years a resident doctor in Singleton until his untimely death, the result of a buggy accident in August 1880. (We do have copies of the diaries of their brothers, Alfred and Benjamin.) TIA. Peter (a great, great grandson of Alfred)

    3. Hi - A couple of suggestions - Get an email provider which gives you virus protection + a spam filter And/or use several email addresses. 1 email address for trusted friends, 1 for internet purchases, 1 for eBay etc, then sort the incoming mail by email address - or even set the email not to download from certain addresses by uncheckng the mail accounts box - tools/accounts/properties so you can control when emails from that address are downloaded Also go to tools/options/security + tick all the security options such as block images etc I use Incredimail not outlook express as this gives me the option to delete from the server so it doesn't even get to the computer Having said that I still get rubbish but I can filter it fairly well Never reply to it - do not 'unsubscribe' etc as then the sender knows you exist + you will get even more - simply delete them It's a real problem - I tell you if we took the medical advice we are offered we would be in a medical museum! 2. M & M Thomas
    3. Hi everyone For quite a few years I have been searching for information on my GG Grandfather - Michael WHITE. He arrived in Australia abt 1833 from Ireland, so he was abt 17 yrs of age. He married in 1852 at Morpeth to Mary COLLIER and in 1854 to Susan McDONALD/McDONNELL. He died in 1863 in Morpeth. I can find no information about his time in Aust between 1833 & 1852. I have searched the online Maitland Mercury around the times of his marriage & death, but to date have found nothing. There were a few Michael WHITE's from Ireland who were convicts arriving within my time-frame, but little clues as to where they went after they arrived. Can anyone advise of where else I might look for a very average Michael WHITE in the Maitland area? Many thanks in advance. Maria & Mick Thomas LAKE MUNMORAH, NSW
