The NSW Pioneers CD gives the locations and church and parish names of all records 1788 -1888 On line only the early church marriages give the denomination and parish The Federation CD has all the BDM indexes 1899 - 1918 .............. . Online birth go up to 1910 only Also with the CDs can often be easier to search and find a mis spelt name . At approx cost of $260 each were abit expensive to just chuck. 3. If these discs are like the Digger indices for Victoria the answer is (according to a mailing list correspondence some months ago) that they'll run with W7 32 bit but not with W7 64 bit. My Diggers certainly run perfectly with 32 bit. Apparently the Digger web site provides information as to how to overcome the 64 bit problem, so I'd suggest googling either for the company that produced your discs or for Digger/Macbeth Genealogical Software, to see whether their guidelines work in your case too. Good luck! Phoebe

    3. Dear Tim, If you have changed computers it may well be that your CD is not corrupt, but it is that without very good alterations to the operating system they do not work. There is also a copyright issue with copying. The copyright is held by the Attorney General of the NSW Government. 3. Dear Ray, Probably the best start would be if there was a newspaper there at that time. If there was one it would probably be at the State Library in Sydney. It is possible that there was a notice in the SMH which you might find on TROVE. SMH for 1860 has not been indexed by the Ryerson Index yet. 3. Dear Margaret, The puzzle is summed up in the first two lines of the Last Will and Testament which says Tichbourne Thomas HANNAH, commonly known as John Thomas HANNAH. His wife in the Willis May Edith HANNAH who was left the whole of his estate which was modest at One Hundred and Seventy One Pounds made up of Real Estate. Three plots of land were combined to make an area of 6 roods, valued at One Hundred and Fifty One Pounds, with another plot of 1 rood and 3.5 perches valued at Twenty Pounds. I will send you a copy off list. 3. Lisa, Not sure that Manning River Times would cover Munni. Munni is near Dungog and Williams River which is in the Hunter district. More likely any notices would have been published in The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser (NSW : 1843-1893). Also covered by www.dungogchronicle.com.au newspaper. Not sure when that paper started. A search of newspapers on www.trove.nla.gov.au did not find any info you listed. Wal On 13/02/2011 5:51 PM, Lisa McMurray wrote: > Manning River times
