Hi, Just a query regarding the above mentioned church. I have the marriage extract of Edward MERRICK and Mary Elizabeth RUSSELL stating that they were married on 24 December 1791 at St Philip's Church, Sydney. However, after looking up some information, it says that St Philip's was established in 1802. Would that be the church they are talking about or the establishment of the parish? The first church was built in the colony in 1793 & it was burnt down therefore ceremonies took place elsewhere and entered in the registers of St Philips later.
