Hello All, Thanks for the responses to my Sawyers Gully question. It was nostalgia trip for me. I live in Maitland until 1985 and played cricket for Blackhill cricket in the 60's and 70's. I played in many strange places with strange names and I thought that Sawyers Gully was one of them. I now believe I was thinking of Chinaman's Hollow near Kurri. If I'm correct, Sawyers Gully is on the border of Cessnock State Forrest. I remember it from my rallying days with the HV Sporting Car Club.
