Hi Terri, It's possible that it refers to St Lawrence, Sydney. http://www.ccsl.zipworld.com.au/ County Cumberland includes large parts of the greater Sydney region. Dear Terri, I think you will find that Christ Church St Lawrence is actually in the city, but I will stand corrected as I am not positive. County of Cumberland covers what was probably the inner city area, and County Northumberland the rest of the state I think also. Sincerely, Bill. There is now (and I think it is old enough to have been there in 1843) a Church called Christ Church St Lawrence adjacent to Central Railway. It has frontages to both Pitt & George Sts but I think its address would be Pitt St. It is between Rawson Place and Railway Square.
