Diane If your windows software is fully installed you can use the following to get a ¾ symbol. Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Character Map Select Font Style that you want to use and you should see the ¾ symbol. It works for Arial & Times Roman. Have not checked any others. If you then left mouse click once on the ¾ symbol, you should see in the bottom right corner the keystroke required. It is Alt 0190, and it gives you this ¾. Hope this has helped a few people into how to use the character map & symbols.
