Dear List I am searching for information on Edward BOYLE, who was married to Mary Ann MOORE. With a son named Thomas they came from Ireland on the ship 'Aloe' in 1857 and then I find they lived in Richmond NSW. Edward jr was born there in 1859. Edward Snr died in 1860 aged 30. They also had another son William John a bit younger than Thomas but I don't know when he was born or where. After the death of Edward Mary Ann BOYLE (nee MOORE) married James MAHONEY at Windsor in 1862. They must have moved to Queensland because Thomas BOYLE married in 1880 up there and a Mrs J MAHONY was a witness on the birth of Thomas' grandson, Guy Linton, who was my grandfather. Does anyone know if there is a connection between BOYLE and MAHONEY and West Maitland? I have a photo of who I am sure is Thomas BOYLE about 1880s from a West Maitland Photographic studio.
