    3. For any subscribers with SAXBY connections ..... <snip> -----Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Miller" <boss@austarnet.com.au> SAXBY FAMILY RE-UNION Details of the reunion are as follows:- Event: The Saxby Family Reunion When: Sunday, 10 November, 2002 Where: Gresford Showground, East Gresford Time: Collection of Name Tags to commence 9.00am Registration Fee: $3.00 per person over 12 years of age, Children under 12 free of charge All descendants of Robert & Mary Ann Saxby, their neighbours, friends, are invited to attend and a large gathering is expected. Please spread the word around and tell all other Saxby Family relatives yours about the proposed reunion, particularly those relatives who through marriage are no longer carrying the surname Saxby and therefore more difficult to trace. It is impossible for me to contact everybody, however, if you can help supply names and contact details of other branches of the Saxby family, I would be very much appreciate it if you could forward details back to me as soon as possible. If you plan to attend the reunion, would you please notify me of the full names of those attending, including children under 12 years of age, together with your registration fee attached. Also if you could attach a sheet of your family history details it would be appreciated. This information is required in order that we can estimate the food required and more importantly can arrange colour-coded name tags for those who have registered. We plan to have all the family divided into 10 different colours on their name tags for the descendants of the 10 children of Robert & Mary Ann Saxby. Word of the reunion has spread quickly, and so far I have received interest from descendants living as far away as Queensland, Wollongong, Sydney, Scone, Singleton, Dungog, Gloucester, Taree and the Blue Mountains. The reunion is to be held at Gresford Showground, and we have hired the following buildings:- 1. The Kitchen and Dining Room - where all persons can come and go, make their own cups of tea, coffee, and sit and chat to all the relations. 2. The Cake and Needlework Pavilion where all Family Tree and Family memorabillia will be displayed for your interest. 3. The BBQ area where a Sausage and Mince Patty Sizzle will be available for a cost of $1.50 per sandwich. 4. Saxby Softdrinks will also be available. If you are able to bring folding chairs it would be appreciated, however, if not, some seating has been arranged. BECAUSE THIS IS A NON-PROFIT DAY, IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT ALL FUNDS IN EXCESS OF EXPENSES WILL BE DONATED TO THE FOLLOWING:- Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Authority to Fundraise No. CFN 11992/2002/365 We believe that this service does a great service to this area and surrounding districts, and has already done great service to this family in unfortunate circumstances. There will be some raffles taking place throughout the day which will also help to raise money, and also get people to socialise and mix together.
