    3. Hi Diane, Just to let you know that I have already gained information from your web site in relation to dates of death of the children of Matthew Woodward Pearce who married my ggg grand aunt Mary Ann Brien as per the Pearce Family Cemetery. Your link also lead me to the Heritage site and more information. Well done. Another place for me to visit assuming it is accessible to the public. 3. Hi all, In searching the World War 1 records at the National Archives site I came across the following entry: Gould William John : SERN 425 : POB Barraba NSW : POE Armidale NSW : NOK F Orchard William I think that this is William John GOULD born 9 Jan 1899 at Barraba, the son of Edgar GOULD and Louisa Ann MYERS, but am mystified by the father's name given as William ORCHARD. Louisa GOULD died in 1903 and Edgar in 1913, so it's not a case of Louisa remarrying. Edgar had been previously married to Hannah MORRIS in Singleton in 1867. There are no ORCHARD connections that I know of. To add to the mystery William John GOULD married Ethel May HARRIS. The NSW BDMs have two marriages recorded, both #11167 in 1919 in Sydney, to Ethel M. HARRIS and Ethel M. WILSON! Any suggestions anyone? Cheers Jan

    3. Dear Jan, I think you will find that BDM record both names if the woman has been married previously, ie maiden name and former married name. Sincerely, Bill Jan Glasby wrote: > Hi all, > > d to the mystery William John GOULD married Ethel May HARRIS. The NSW > BDMs have two marriages recorded, both #11167 in 1919 in Sydney, to Ethel > M.
