Try the Infants Home, Ashfield, near Sydney. Opened 1874, still operating in 1970s (and probably now). Intended as place for delivery of babies of unwed mothers. Most of the mothers in 19th century were domestic servants. Minute books held at the Mitchell Library in Sydney.
