Hello again Listers. Does anyone have connections to a Joseph Downing WOOD or WOODS please? In 1868 he married (possibly this was a second marriage for him) Mary Ann (or Mary Annabella HAWKINS) . This probably occurred at West Maitland. They had 3 daughters: 1: Ada Jane WOOD(S) born 1866; 2: Mary A.M. (or Marian M) WOOD(S) born 1868 & died 1869; 3: Eva May WOOD(S) born 1870. As the mother died in 1873; I expect that the father married again. The NSW BD&M indexes show what is possibly his first marriage: in 1864 to a Catherine HALL; then the 1866 marriage to Mary A. HAWKINS. It also shows an 1876 marriage to a Margaret A. FARRELL, which may again be a third marriage for him. I'd be grateful for any information which listers might have about him, any of the above marriages, and any children of any marriages -- and especially any details concerning his daughters Ada Jane & Eva May WOOD(S).
