    3. Dear Lyn, Thanks for the e-mail re the Parramatta Chronicle and Cumberland Advertiser newspaper index. This newspaper is available on the internet. The web address is .... <http://www.nla.gov.au/ferg/bfull/14403439_bfull.html> Armed with the index it is an easy job to locate the articles. We had a quick look through the index with the following results... Kirk 7 entries Tuckwell 5 entries Lyons 28 entries Ellison 11 entries Scott 7 entries of course we have no idea if any are in the families you are researching, although being ex Castle Hill ourselves the Tuckwells are probably yours - although there are some in North Colo, mentioned in the index charged with killing a heifer and acquitted. A couple of the entries for Tuckwell are ... 2 March 1844 page 2 column 3 2 March 1844 page 3 column 2 28 June 1845 page 2 column 3 Use the net address above and download the file and save it, rather than reading it on line - it is quicker - it takes about 3 minutes and the files are about 900 k, this is done via Acrobat Reader. If you dont have Acrobat Reader it is also available free on the net. The index will only be available directly through us, if you would like a flyer, e-mail us a postal (snail mail) address and we will pop one out to you. When we get the indexes back from the printers we will let you know via e-mail. Just for interest, many of the entries relate to country areas, not just Sydney, Parramatta and the Hawkesbury. Articles from Moreton Bay to Port Phillip and South Aust to VDL. Many court cases from Berrima and Goulburn and many mentions of the inmates of the Female Factory etc. Hope the above is of interest, Lyn. Best wishes, Rod & Wendy Gow "lynette.muir" wrote: > Dear Rod > Great news, where will the index to the Parramatta Chronicle and Cumberland > Advertiser be available?
