    3. Hi, My name is Peter O'Brien and I have recently began investigating my family tree. On my Father's side I have found links to the Hawkesbury area. My GG Grandfather is Joseph FAIRS who emmigrated from England and settled in the Cattai Creek area where his death cert reports him dying in 1868. He married Ellen DONAHOE (various spellings) in about 1843. One offspring was Mary Anne FAIRS who was born about 1845 and who married John Joseph O'Brien on 20 Jan 1865. I have found the graves of Joseph FAIRS and Helen (Ellen) FAIRS, son Richard and son Joseph and wife Jane at the Roman Catholic cemetery at Windsor. The headstones do not look original to me (not weathered enough?)...and Joseph snr's age is shown as 52 on the headstone whereas his death cert is 62...maybe a transcription error to a new headstone? If this is true, then who replaced them? Joseph's and Ellen are identical and she died in 1896 so maybe it was done then by the family. In reviewing the archives I found that Ellen FAIRS was listed in the Post Office Directory as a farmer at Caddie along with their son Joseph. Also, the road down to Riverside Oaks golf course is O'Briens Rd and I wonder if this was a track leading to the O'Brien farm. I would be interested in any info that members can supply to help my in my research. I am particularly interested in finding where the Fairs and the O'Briens may have had some property in order to understand the circumstances in how they met and married. I would also like to follow the O'Brien line back. All I have is John Joseph's fathers name as John and his mothers is Mary A. The only lead I have on the Fairs is that Joseph's mother's maiden name was Brantford (and the spelling/name is questionable). Thanks Peter O'Brien
