Hi Everyone from Sunny Queensland! Just thought I would introduce the Hulins to the group! Our names are Brett and Liz Hulin, reside in Toowoomba, Queensland and are following the exploits of the Skuthorpe/Skulthorp line (Richard, b1793 Cambridge, a 1814 Gen Hewitt, m Honor/Ellen/Eleanor Connor who arrived in Aust as the wife of Ormsby Irwinn, Convict on the Boyd in 1809. Eleanor had a somewhat interesting life.. as it would appear that she may have had 2 children with Ormsby Irwinn (who I cant find hide nor hair of apart from Lesley's website!), before committing some sort of offence in Sydney and ending up in Parramatta Jail sometime between 1809 and 1818 (marriage to R Skuthorpe - Richmond) I understand that was prior to the Female Factory being in existence? Scuttlebut also suggests that she kept company with a William Broady and may have also had one child with him. Brett and I have just returned from 2 wks hols mainly Sydney and we also spent 2 days in the Richmond/Windsor area and checked Cemetery records.. We now have some great info, photos etc to pass onto our few remaining elderly relatives, so anything that would enlighten us as to Eleanors nefarious past would certainly enliven the video/photo session we plan to have!!
