I have browsed your archives and seen previous references to above. I am a descendant of Emanuel Neich and am compiling a tree and family history book. Need to inform descendants and gain as much info as possible. Our weak link is the Pittown chain, as we are unable to establish the parentage of John and Alexander Neich buried at Pittown. Births would be abt 1860 and 1867 resp. We believe their parents are Emanuel Neich and Mary Cupitt. I dont know if this is the Mary Cupitt who married an Emmett and if he was dead at this stage. I did see a death of a John Emmett which would fit. Was Mary a worker at an inn or similar where Emanuel may have stayed en-route to his property at Berrima? His family owned Roberton Park and Comerton Park at Berrima. I am not sure of the geography but someone told me that in the old days they would have had to go via Pittown to get to Berrima. Emanuel lived in Burwood, so would you locals please advise whether this route is correct? I found a Cupitt tree on the net, but with no address for the submitter which was unfortunate. Does anyone have a full tree of John and Alexander's descendants. They both married Clarke sisters. Thanks and kind regards Lina Molong
