    3. Hi Liz, There has recently been a thread about this family (i.e., Eleanor and Ormsby Irwin) on the Tas list. I understand Eleanor's maiden name was Connor and she was sometimes known as Honor Connor, or Eleanor or Ellen. Eleanor and Ormsby Irwin arrived per "Boyd" 1809 - apparently married. He was a lifer and she came free. He was tried in Cork. NSW BDM shows they had 2 chn. William and Catherine (who was b 1812). don't know why but Ormsby and Eleanor split up. Eleanor remained in NSW and married Richard Sculthorpe (seen in the various NSW musters, BDM records, etc). Ormsby and the two children, William and Catherine, turned up in Tasmania, at least by 1819. Haven't a clue when Ormsby died. Don't know what happened to William. Catherine married William Bellett and they had several children - some of whose descendants returned to Vic and NSW. I have a very limited amount of information on this line as it is really only a remote twig on my husband's tree. Alison :) Sydney Oz
